A skilled facilitator and negotiator, David regularly works with Government, contractors, principals, financiers and consultants to help translate great ideas into successful projects. His 25 years' experience in project and infrastructure development enables him to appreciate the needs and perspectives of all participants from a practical point of view.
He is particularly experienced in leading the co-ordination and delivery of complex and varied legal services on many types of major projects. His career has included legal services leadership roles in projects as diverse as Star City Casino, Telstra Olympic Stadium, King Street Wharf, Lane Cove Tunnel, Port Botany Expansion, Rhodes Waterside, Minto Rail Alliance, Erskine Park Industrial Estate and Marsden Park Precinct Acceleration as well as major Defence materiel procurements and the successful resolution of a range of large scale disputes.
David is an accredited mediator, and is a member of the Commercial Law Association of Australia, the Law Society of New South Wales, the Law Council of Australia, the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia, the International Bar Association, the International Construction Contracts Committee and the Australian Dispute Resolution Association Inc.
David will be co-presenting a session entitled "Innovative and flexible strategies to deliver projects: The move towards a 'hybrid' model" at the ALB Construction Law masterclass series.
