Jeremy is a senior construction / commercial lawyer with Santos Ltd in Brisbane. He is primarily responsible for the preparation and negotiation of the major construction contracts for the multi-billion dollar Gladstone LNG (GLNG) Project, one of the largest resource development projects in Australia.
Prior to joining Santos Jeremy worked for a leading Australian law firm in their construction and infrastructure group. He has acted for owners and contractors in the management and resolution of commercial and construction disputes in mining, manufacturing and major public infrastructure projects, representing some of Australia’s largest corporations.
Jeremy has experience in most forms of ADR including arbitration, dispute adjudication boards, mediation and expert determinations. He has handled complex multi-party disputes in a number of jurisdictions and advised on some of Queensland’s largest contested adjudications under the Building and Construction Industry Payments Act.
Jeremy is admitted to practice in Queensland, Victoria and in the High Court. He is a former lecturer, tutor and researcher in law and business and regularly presents papers on contract administration, construction risk management and dispute resolution.
Jeremy is the former Attorney General’s representative on the Queensland Law Society Council, a member of the Professional Conduct Committee, Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators and the Resources and Energy Law Association.
