Ren Niemann is a procurement and construction specialist focussing on infrastructure and major projects. He has a depth of experience in drafting, negotiating and advising governments, financiers, principals and contractors on major infrastructure projects across a number of industries and sectors, including transport, water and resources.
He has worked on large and complex projects including:
- advising the Queensland Government on the $2.12 billion Gateway Upgrade Project;
- advising Dyno Nobel on its proposed $1 billion ammonia processing plant in Queensland;
- advising a bidding consortium on its tender for the Northern Link Project; and
- advising Defence on its tender process issues on several of its large sustainment projects
He regularly presents to clients and the industry on tendering and process issues, procurement models and alternative dispute resolution.
Ren will be presenting a session on "Keeping it out of the courts: Cost-effective dispute resolution" at the Brisbane masterclass on 7 October.
