Based in Melbourne, Michael leads the firm’s national Insolvency & Reconstruction practice group.

Michael specialises in corporate and personal insolvency law and has a reputation as one of Australia’s leading bankruptcy lawyers.  Michael brings his technical expertise and experience leading a team in acting for banks and other secured creditors in debt workouts and reconstruction and security enforcement and for receivers, liquidators, administrators and trustees in bankruptcy.

Michael is a member of the Law Council of Australia’s Insolvency & Reconstruction Committee (IRC) and of the Insolvency Practitioners’ Association of Australia.  As the Law Council’s representative on Attorney-General’s Bankruptcy Consultative Forum Michael has actively participated in the development of bankruptcy reform in recent years.
