Oliver White is a Special Counsel in the Private Equity Capital Markets team of Minter Ellison, based in the Sydney Office. Oliver has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions, with a focus on private equity clients. He joined Minter Ellison in October 2004 after 3 years in Hong Kong with leading firm Clifford Chance, having previously worked in the corporate group of leading firm Linklaters in London.
Oliver has worked on a wide range of private equity and general corporate transactions, including MBOs, roll-ups, public to private transactions, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings (both for exiting minority investors and companies floating), equity and hybrid fundraisings and joint ventures. Oliver has also advised warranty insurers on a number of private equity transactions.
Recent private equity transactions on which Oliver has played a leading role include: Affinity Equity Partner's sale of the Loscam business to China Merchants, Quadrant Private Equity's acquisition of IVF Australia and follow on IVF investments, Baker & Taylor (an investment of Castle Harlan) on its acquisition of the James Bennett business, High Summit Group's acquisition of a 50% stake in Top Education Group and Affinity Equity Partner's takeover of Colorado Group Limited.
Oliver will be presenting a session entitled "New deal flow and the rise of the secondary buyout in the Australian PE market" at the Private Equity Law Masterclass.
